Trellis and Tulips!

The weather is getting warmer and green is showing. I am really ready for Spring. I do love snow but now I am ready for the colors of Spring. I love browsing blogs and right now everyone else seems ready for Spring as well. Over on LeeAnn Greff's Blog I saw these fabulous tulips made out of the 2-step Bird Punch. She saw them on Julia Bettencourts blog. My mind just does not work that way. How CLEVER!!!
I needed a thank you card and this is what I came up with. I wanted the tulips to look like they were by a trellis. The Certainly Celery background is embossed. I sponged all of the tulip pieces to make them pop. I also thought the wing would work for the tulip leaves as well. What do you think?

Set: Tiny Tags
Pads: Certainly Celery, Cameo Coral
Cardstock: Certainly Celery, Apricot Appeal, Whisper White
Accessories: Lattice Bigz Die, White Satin Ribbon, 2-step Bird Punch, Medium Tag Punch, Linen Thread, Perfect Detail Texturz Plate

Don't you want to go make some tulips now?

March Class/Club

Spring is on it's way and I wanted the projects for this month to be cheerful and springy! For my club we mostly make cards. I stepped out of that box this month.
This is made with the On Board Scallop Circle Book. You get 8 of these in the package. Instead of a book, we made a post it note holder. We used the Sweet Pea Designer Series Pack to cover the board. I found the circle post it notes and thought those would be perfect as the center. The butterflies were cut out of colors of cardstock that coordinate with the Sweet Pea Pack with the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.

Isn't this little container cute! The flower is the Scallop Rose that I have made before. The container is the Stampin' Store Container. the paper used is Shades of Spring Designer Series Paper. I have to admit that I ordered this paper thinking I wouldn't like it. Well, I was wrong. It really is pretty!!! The "hello" is from the Tiny Tags stamp set and punched out with the Medium Jewelry Tag punch and is attached to the flower with Linen Thread.

I love daffodils! This is the card that we made. The set used is Abundant Hope. It is stamped with Stazon on watercolor paper. Stamp pads with an aquapainter were used to color. Cardstock is So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie and then the watercolor paper. Pads to color are the same and shading was done with Sahara Sand. The Border Scallop Punch, Modern Label Punch and Finial Press Embossing Folder were also used.
